[wp-hackers] Bundled Plug-ins

Yeah I know what the external property in SVN means, but what I meant
is, from a user's POV, this doesn't make sense.

Case 1: download latest.zip, install WordPress. Hu? Got to get a newer
version of Akismet?

Case 2: download latest.zip, install WordPress. Hu? Got to get a newer
version of general-template.php?

For a user, I don't think case 1 or case 2 is weirder. Anything
included in the latest.zip should be the freshest available. In other
words, I don't get why Akismet is on plugins.trac instead of
core.trac...
