Yes, You can currently do it, but it isnt as supported as it is in 3.0,  
Its not worth anyones time attempting to implement it in 2.9 at present,  
given that 3.0 is nearing Release Candidates, By the time you finish (&  
polished) the development, 3.0 would be out the door.
