[wp-hackers] 'init' and 'wp' actions calls fail on functions.php

On a theme's functions.php, exactly as it is pasted here.

There's no syntax error. Tested with php -l.

That's why I'm asking if there's any particular or server-side reason
why this wouldn't work.
