Like for the issue I *just* found where the parent name the admin manage list is pulled directly from $parent->post_title instead of get_post_title($parent->ID).  With the qTranslate plugin, which stores all different title translations into the title itself, the results get really ugly, and I can't fix it for the client because there are no hooks:
