[wp-hackers] Off-topic rant: WP-Pro

Jane @ Automattic recently made the decision to post a message to the
WP-Pro mailing list saying it was up for closure.

The list had many people speaking up against this decision, and asked
Jane several times to comment or reply on the real reasons why - all of
which were ignored.

The list has since been closed.

Does anyone know anything about this? I was unaware that Automattic
could just close WordPress lists on a whim, I thought this kind of
decision was to be more community based?

Maybe I'm wrong, just concerns me with the future of this list also for
example ...
