hi

Sorry but i need to ask here. Since yesterday i try to find solution,
i asked in many places (also at wp forum) but nobody knows the answer.
this is why i thing that this is problem with javascript

first of all: problem exists in firefox and chrome (both on linux and
windows). but everything works great in opera (linux and windows) and
IE (windows)

when i try to add widget (i am in wp-admin > widgets) i drag any
widget from center of page to right panel, where i drop it. this small
throbber (animated circle) start to work which shows me that wordpress
started to save my widget. but throbber don't stop, it is animating
and animating (i waited even few minutes). when i click on Save
button, throbber stops and dissapear (what shows me, or better
suggests me that widget in sidebar is saved)

but when i refresh site, i dont see nothing new in sidebar. also when
i refresh wp-admin, right panel in widgets.php is empty. so widget
truelly wasn't saved.

i have wp 2.8.5 with no plugins and themes (i use default theme). i
have many more installations of wp, but only in this one case widgets
doesn't work

please, any suggestion how to fix it? what can i check, how i can
reapir this? where in mysql widgets are saved, how it works?

some tip: i was creating new theme, i registered sidebar to
function.php and i named sidebar with long name (about 30 letters).
maybe this was a reason why widgets doesn't work now? maybe mysql cell
doesn't allow long widget name and i destroyed something?

p.s. this is my post from yesterday at forum, there you havve some
more information http://wordpress.org/support/topic/330237?replies=1
