[wp-hackers] Is disabling remote client access a good idea?

Here's an idea:
Those with skin in the XML-RPC game ought to put out bounties for
improving the code.  i.e., free Ecto/MarsEdit/etc. licenses for those
with _verified_ found and fixed bugs/flaws/exploits in the WP
implementation.

Also, I cannot imagine that the rumored Automattic iPhone client is
using anything other than XML-RPC... Right?
