[wp-hackers] Volunteering for the WordPress Plugin Directory

Hi,
I (and probably many other plugin developers) have become aggravated
with the plugin-submission process of the Plugin Directory on
WordPress.org, particularly how long it takes for a plugin to be
approved.

In short, is there any way to help out with plugin submission by
volunteering to help approve them? Or is this job limited to the lead
developer team?
