As of writing, this recent post on the WordPress blog:

produces a Yellow Screen of Death on Firefox because of an incorrectly
encoded entity. Very poetic though XML parsing errors may be, since
nobody has suggested any advantages to XHTML 1.0 not met by better HTML
linting, perhaps the response to

needs to be reconsidered, perhaps is line with the suggestions at:

http://strictmode.org/
