[wp-hackers] WordPress and GPLv3

Some months ago, I believe it was Lloyd who said that GPLv3 was a
matter of wait and watch (what others so). With maturity and high
adoption (over 1,300 projects now), will it not be reasonable for
WordPress to upgrade to GPLv3? I am just asking. There is nothing to
be lost and the benefit is a defensive one as well as a perceptual
one. From a programmer's (or "hacker's") point of view, this would
also resolve compatibility issues (c/f
