Is there any specific reason why wp_loginout does not have the
parameters $before and $after (with the "li-defaults) like (for example)
wp_register? I know this is not a big problem, but since it makes sense
to have both wp_register and wp_loginout close to each other (and I
think in most themes I looked at they were right next to each other) it
would really be "better" for them to have the same interface.

Oh and while I am at it: Are there any plans to bring the different
parameters for some of the template tags "in line" (e.g. sort_column for
wp_list_pages vs. orderby for get_posts)? I know this would possibly
break themes and/or plugins, but in the long run it would make theme and
plugin development more smooth. Maybe it would be best to allow both old
and new parameters for a while (with the new overriding the old if both
are set) and mark the old ones as deprecated in the code(x) and after a
while remove them completely.

Greetings,
Timo.
