[wp-hackers] Changes to Image/File uploading

I'd also like to see an option to not create thumbnails.  I size images
exactly as I want them, and never use the 'nail.  The thumbnailing takes
time and resources, as well as creates a slew of "...thumbnail" files
that I just have to go and delete.

I've tried to find a hook/option/filter where I can talk WP into not
creating thumbs.  Maybe I'm just not finding it.  But if there's a
discussion about cracking open the uploading code this option would be
on my list.
