[wp-hackers] Plugin editor and cache

In WP 2.0.2 I've found the plugin editor to be unusable. It's great until
there's an error in the file and then it never updates. It even stops the
entire blog from working if it's a core plugin for authentication.

e.g. I can edit the file using the plugin editor fine but if there's an
error - i.e. I tried to add a call to add_options_page, which doesn't work
in 2.0.2 and from then on the editor wouldn't update the file, even when I
removed that line. It always complained about function not defined, even
although the call was removed using the editor.

The only solution is to shell into the box and edit the file manually with
vi! Even then, there's a whole load of changes get deleted by the plugin
editor.

Is this a browser issue or is it something to do with the plugin editor?

thanks,

Alistair
