I do agree. This seems to make more sense and its allowed in the draft. 
It would seem to be consistent with http:// ftp:// https:// etc, etc.

If we do keep it, I vote for feed:// instead of feed:http://

I know its a bit more complicated than the current prepend feed: to 
[blog uri]/feed/ and some replacing of http with feed might need to take 
place, but in the long run with the semantics of Wordpress, I think it 
just looks better.
