I just noticed a job posting on a popular freelancing site offering to pay
people to give good reviews to this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/donorbox-donation-form/
and advising them to sign up for wordpress accounts, use different emails,
etc.

So there could be some sock puppet action....
