Hi Andrew,

It seems as though the OP wants to use wordpress.org as some sort of
distribution service for the photos. In other words, they get hosted on
wporg, and users can then download them to use in their themes and
plugins. I would think the answer to the question "Can I post these pics
here?" would be no, because wporg does not have image distribution
functionality like Flikr does. I would suggest that the user upload
selected images to Flikr and tag them as CC, at which point the images
will come up when people search for CC images on that service.

I don't quite understand what the OP wants to do, it seems the OP wants to
share photos under the CC license to the forums, photos that people can
use, download, distribute, etc. as long as they abide by that CC license.

But I don't understand what the reason was to post on the forums, and why
the forums in particular. I just don't get what this has to do with
WordPress and why the OP is posting here.
