Just an FYI Esmi posted a (well thought out, reasonable, easy to
understand, etc. if I do say so myself) reply about not posting emails and
the member replied with snark.

Which I just deleted. Disagreeing with moderator is fine but a reply like
that doesn't move the topic forward and that was just a little too biting
to let alone.

The user was already on mod watch.
