[wp-forums] Is this a bait and switch?

Eh, you may turn out to be right in the end -- but for now, it looks
like the author is trying to scope his project and asking for
feedback, which I think is a good thing. Hard to bait and switch when
you aren't taking anyone's money, and if it's advertising, it's hardly
the kind of "SIGN UP NOW!!!!1!" pre-launch advertising you normally
see. If anything, watch it to see that it doesn't get out of hand, but
it reads to me like he is what he says.
