Data as of about 5 minutes ago (note, numbers are raw and include
things like spam and deleted topics, etc):

Topics: 648214
Posts: 2358056
Total registered users: 2734563
Active users in support forums (have ever made a post): 314960

Note that many people register and then never post anything. Never
been sure why they do this. There are legit reasons, like logging onto
the codex, or plugin/theme uploads, but 2.7 million is still a lot.
