[wp-forums] Inactive-Account Question

Note that it can also happen to people who a) originally signed up on
plugins or themes for the purpose of uploading same, b) never logged
into the support forums, c) forgot their password.

I've changed things around since then. You may notice that the login
form and links on the /extend pages now actually go over to the
support forums for signup and login and such instead of being
separate. This is me trying to integrate everything to be less
confusing. There's still more to do there, but it's less weird than
before. The support forum registration/login/etc will be the nerve
center of all login on wp.org eventually. Just takes time to rework
everything.
