Yes, totally agree.

Apologies for my previous outburst in the thread.

I should have raised my concerns here. Think I got out the wrong side of the
bed that day, and ryan was on the receiving end of my edgy mood.

I still stand my original point, but I'll keep my views here where they
should be.

If somebody is posting links back to their own site *a lot*, then
that's obviously a problem, as it's basically spamming in the guise of
helpfulness.

On the other hand, if they're answering other questions with real
replies, then perhaps they're just trying to be helpful. I post links
to my own site, sometimes, when the answer is there. I often Google
for answers and the codex doesn't always have them.

Regardless, I'd say the proper policy should be to email one of the
forum mods about it or post the concern here, and let one of us make
the call, instead of complaining about it directly in the thread.
That's inappropriate either way.
