A canned response to this would be useful?
Instead of the doom-mongers running in and proclaiming the end of their
world, how about a 1-2-3 we can post along with a link to say a Codex
page where all the steps are laid out.
We could even have section just for Hosts :)

Backup everything now (links)
Maybe even give them a formatted html page to upload to hide the damage
chmod
talk to host
etc.....
