Delete the thread and you just leave yourself up to accusations of
censorship. Leaving up there keeps an element of accountability; both
sides can look back at what has been written and see what the fuss was
about.

I disagree with deleting threads, comments or posts unless they are
spam. It's both needless and causes more touble than it's worth.
