[wp-forums] Why the forum FAQ

I'd like a kind of "master sticky" that sticks to the front page....

I've babbled before about the layout of that page not being altogether
inviting....

Subject: Re: [wp-forums] Why the forum FAQ

My problem with stickies is that they tend toe get easily lost. 1) They
don't show on the main page unless they get a post to it. 2) Even if it
is on the main page, it isn't obvious since it gets treated like any
other post. My thought on the tagging was that maybe if it showed up
people might actualy click it, even if they aren't sure what it is
exactly. At least they would have clicked into it. 3) There isn't a
central FAQ repository. For instance once the FAQ post has fallen off
the front page.... how does some one know where to find it? When I first
arrive at a support forum for the first time, I try to look for
something familiar, like the FAQ. We need a way to keep it on the front
page, and prominant and not hiding off in a corner somewhere sniveling
because it isn't getting the love it needs.
