[wp-edu] Firewalls and WordPress

Has anyone noticed blogs in general getting blocked by district
firewalls (especially at the secondary level)?

I know that the firewall my local district (Palm Beach County, FL)
uses is pretty stringent and almost immediately blocks any
installation of WordPress or any other popular blogging software /
sites (i. e. Blogger). Has anyone noticed or heard about something
similar in their area or is this something that is fairly uncommon?
