[wp-docs] Linking to other languages on each page

Is there any way to use "Interlanguage Links" feature of MediaWiki?
If it's too hard to make that work, 
how about making use of wiki templates like this?

e.g. http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags

Advantages of this way are:
- Super-easy! Like Interlanguage Links, no need to write out full URL.
- Requires no action by MediaWiki admin.
- No need to change the format of existing internal links on French docs.

The disadvantage (instead of using Interlanguage Links) is that the
links don't appear on the sidebar like Wikipedia.
