[wp-docs] Version support

Hi,

What is the official position on support of older versions of WordPress?

Should information relating to older versions be removed from the Codex?
For example, this page:

http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/the_excerpt_rss

has a section on parameters for version 1.2.


And a completely unrelated question: Why can I post to wp-docs, but when
I try to post to wp-testers it never shows up?
