I do remember wringing hands about the undocumentedness of hooks with 
Lorelle, Mark Jaquith, etc, and talking about possible ways to list them 
in the codex, but that's all. Mark has an initiative that starts taking 
care of that (http://wphooks.flatearth.org/)
