    Personally, I think it'd be a good feature to have a "hold for 
moderation if service is not available" option for the plugin.  I 
would use it that way, and not use any other moderation settings if I 
could.
    Of course, that would mean adding an ASS options or manage page, 
but if you did so it could list the stuff it's submitted recently, or 
otherwise be a gateway to finding out just how much it's been doing 
for the author.
