 In the long-term, the current matching of web vs. API routes may not be
 ideal, but the first few API routes suggested that a parity would be OK.
 And the ease of adding matching API calls is worth the initial lack of
 flexibility, IMHO.

 If you want to add an API-only route, just add only an API template. In
 this case the web request will return an empty response (we should
 probably send back 404, but still).
