 In current releases of BuddyPress, shortcodes in blog posts are sometimes
 rendered in the activity stream (and sometimes not), depending on the
 length of the blog post content/excerpt.

 The proposed change on this ticket unifies the handling of this, and it
 makes it so that shortcodes are stripped from the content and never
 rendered.
