 Hi GKK,

 I understand the situation.
 Today from the BuddyPress settings you can completely disable avatar user
 uploads.
 But i think your suggestion is interesting. I'm going to check the trac to
 see if there's not a relative ticket about this, anyway i'll work on a
 patch about it.
