 Well, I think this is in part because you're not using your tools
 correctly. `git add -p` is the most important powerful tool in a
 developer's arsenal. (I really need to write a blog post about this.) That
 being said, I will make a first pass at picking out the bits that can be
 committed, and will repost a patch of what's left.
