 5197.patch] is a cleaned up up version of Imath's patch:

 * More brackets per WordPress's coding standard
 * Some verbiage changes

 I love Imath's vision of allowing this to let us hook in roles and caps,
 etc... To be honest, after reviewing the patch, I'm comfortable committing
 this into trunk now and iterating on it through out the 2.0 cycle, putting
 this feature ahead of schedule, as it's likely to change quite a bit as we
 massage it.
