 I agree with r-a-y. Though, just a few notes:

 - The BP functions where these strings live are very small. You could, in
 theory, unhook them and then rehook your own versions that contain a
 better string
 - Be very careful if you plan to use BP's spam status for something other
 than actual spam. For example, if you spam a user on a multisite
 installation, it marks their primary blog as spam. If you need a different
 (gentler) kind of access block, you might consider building something from
 scratch :)
