 Found this breaks the navigation with setting:

 - Front page displays -> A static page -> Front page -> Blog
 - Front page displays -> A static page -> Posts page -> None

 Recent posts are displayed on the front page through 'Blog', which is
 good. However, all tabs are visible by default (including a duplicate
 'Blog' at the end) with none of them selected when arriving on home (or
 when clicking home).

 Are you sure there's no bug here?
