Hi Jeff,

I think you'll need a couple of extra plugins to handle the upload and
playing of music files, but BuddyPress can handle the core of a
community site very well. I'd be interested in hearing some more about
this project as I'm a musican (well, I used to be, but now I'm much
better!).
