[buddypress-dev] Call-time passby reference - not corrected by fix

Hello,
I tried the new friends module and got the same errors experienced in ticket #40 and applied patches described,
then I get this error only

PHP Parse error: parse error, unexpected '=', expecting ')' in
/var/www/vhosts/mysite/httpdocs/wp-content/mu-plugins/bp-friends.php
on line 213, referer: http://mysite/wp-admin/ 

Fatal error


By the way, Avatar issue is corrected.
